The HYDROPLANE is our new, user friendly high performance Hybrid!
The key aspect of this board is the hydroplane hull running through the bottom of the board. The hydroplane hull uses the water it is on for lift rather than buoyancy, as well as speed, drive and manoeuvrability.
When travelling at high speed, water is forced downwards by the hydroplane.
The water therefore exerts an equal and opposite force upwards, giving that feeling of lift.
This in turn, allows bigger boards to not compromise on performance.
Leaving you with loads of float to paddle into waves, while still maintaining the feeling of being on a high performance board!

The Black is the construction that places the most emphasis on performance. In order to achieve the aggressive riding required for competition and smooth and vertical movement even in large waves, the focus is on maximizing the performance of Thunderbolt technology. The characteristic
of the structure is that it uses 6oz carbon fiber for the laminate and combines it with 2oz fiberglass. With the lightness and flexibility of carbon fiber, the Black is surprisingly lightweight and has a fast flex and response throughout the board. It is possible to draw maneuvers at will, from hard ripping in large waves, roundhouse cutbacks on full rails, to tube riding.
